Why I Want to Open a Shop in Redondo Beach: The Wedding and The Journey

In my previous blog post, I shared a little about attending my husband’s daughter’s beautiful wedding. It was a wonderful day filled with glamour and warmth, reminding me of the deep importance of family bonds. But actually, there was a journey filled with profound realizations and messages for me right before the wedding, as well as on our way home.

Today, I would like to share the continuation of that story with you.

The Day Before the Wedding: Energy Charging and Realignment in Sedona

To be honest, while I love talking to people one-on-one, I am not comfortable in public places or large, glamorous gatherings, and I have very few friends. Since almost everyone at this wedding was American, I felt a bit anxious as a Japanese person. (Thankfully, my husband is always by my side to support me, which helps me get through it.)

I am a healer and a "Sophia Empath." Because of this, I need my husband’s help in many everyday situations. Whenever I talk to him about how challenging these sensitive perceptions can be, he always listens to me quietly and gently. We often go on prison visits and healing journeys together because we deeply understand each other’s energy.

Knowing my nature, we stayed in Sedona the day before the wedding to charge our energy. There, I poured my heart into the final energy realignment for our 369 Dragon Mist, which will launch at this Sunday's event, as well as our Futomani charts.

Hotel rooms hold a mix of so many different energies, so due to my empathic nature, I couldn't sleep soundly for either night. I kept the bathroom fan running while burning incense to manage and cleanse the energy. (When I travel with my husband to rural areas, I feel the powerful energy of Mother Nature or receive messages, which allows me to sleep like a baby...)

After realigning my energy to the highest degree and preparing myself, the day of the wedding finally arrived.

Soul-Stirring Encounters with People Who Love Japan

Despite my nervousness, the Universe had a wonderful gift waiting for me at the wedding.

When my husband’s nephew got married, I remember feeling so relieved and happy just hearing that the newlyweds were going to Japan for their honeymoon. It brought me peace of mind because they showed an interest in the country I love. Even though I have been away from Japan for over 30 years, it is still my beloved motherland.

And this time, as we parked our car next to another couple at the wedding venue and greeted them, they unexpectedly told us, “We used to live in Okinawa, and we absolutely love Japan!”

Although I am a bit shy about initiating conversations, I absolutely welcome people talking to me. Meeting people who genuinely love Japanese culture and Japan creates a beautiful exchange of energy that transcends language barriers. It naturally bonds us and leads to mutual self-healing. When it comes to good things, beautiful places, or shared interests, we can talk forever, can't we?

At that moment, a passionate feeling welled up from deep within me: “This is exactly the kind of beautiful exchange I have always wanted to create.”

I want to build a gentle, welcoming space in Redondo Beach where people who love Japanese culture or want to learn about Japan can gather, connect, and discover a Zen lifestyle.

I have a mission to collaborate with my guardians (spirit guides and divine entities) to independently support people on their self-healing journeys. Meeting this couple who thinks so highly of Japan made me incredibly happy.

What the 7-Mile Traffic Jam on the Way Home Taught Me

Because we had an important event coming up on Sunday, we decided to leave the reception a bit early and head home. Our original ETA was 2:12 AM. Since I am unable to drive, I sat in the passenger seat and spent the drive passionately pouring my heart out to my husband about my mission and path.

Whenever we travel, we never set strict schedules or times. We travel with the mindset that "no matter what happens, everything will be fine," letting ourselves flow with the moment.

Also, since I am not fond of eating out, we usually stop by local markets to buy salads and sandwiches during our trips.

We often travel through remote, rural areas with few shops, so we never know what might happen. We don't want to exhaust our energy by stressing over a fixed schedule or feeling disappointed when things don't go as planned. Instead, we anticipate the absolute worst-case scenarios (like flat tires or unexpected delays) and prepare ourselves thoroughly beforehand. That is our style.

To pack our fresh market meals and prepare for any mishaps based on past lessons, we had pre-loaded our truck (a pickup truck we always rent from Enterprise) with a cooler box and a portable toilet.

This turned out to be our ultimate savior.

Right before midnight, there seemed to be a major accident ahead near the next exit, and our GPS arrival time suddenly jumped to 4:30 AM. It was a complete 7-mile (approx. 11 km) gridlock. Cars came to a dead stop, and we turned off the engine and waited right there for about 45 minutes.

When things finally started moving, my husband turned the engine back on to move forward, but the truck driver right in front of us had actually fallen asleep while waiting! (Haha). We managed to bypass him and finally resumed our journey.

Normally, a massive traffic jam like that could cause panic or frustration. But simply knowing we had a toilet with us brought immense peace of mind. Combined with the flexibility of not having a rigid schedule, we were able to spend the waiting time completely calm and serene.

Peace of mind is truly one of the most vital elements in both life and healing.

From Our Journey to the Redondo Beach Community

I absolutely love trees. When I learned that it is perfectly fine to collect fallen wood and branches in the US, I picked up a beautiful branch during this trip—one that I felt a soul-connection with—and brought it home in the back of our truck.

As I look at these branches now, I am excitedly visualizing how to build a warm community at our upcoming Redondo Beach location.

Our trips, free of rigid schedules, are essential to us. Every message we receive and every unexpected encounter we experience along the way ultimately shapes the space of our shop into a true sanctuary.
