OUR NONPROFIT COMMITMENT

“Dignity is the foundation of rehabilitation.”

From Confinement to Community

The 369 Miracle Prison Outreach provides essential rehabilitative support to incarcerated individuals and their families. Through human connection and wellness training, we address the mental health challenges of detention. • Foster accountability and personal growth through mentorship• Provide therapeutic outreach for emotional resilience• Equip individuals with tools for successful community reentry• Offer support networks for families impacted by incarceration

Founded by Kazumi Smith Tharpe, our work began with a simple commitment: providing direct, handwritten correspondence to those in high-security facilities to reduce isolation and encourage positive life choices.

DIRECT OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Human Connection. Lasting Impact.

Our core activity involves consistent, thoughtful correspondence with individuals in the justice system. These letters serve as a lifeline, offering mentorship and emotional stability during confinement. By establishing these bonds, we facilitate a smoother transition back into society. Our outreach includes facility visitations and the development of structured educational materials designed for use within correctional settings.

HELING BEYOND JUDGEMENT

My Vision as a Healer

To many, crime is seen as the end of the line. At 369 Star Village, we believe it is a desperate plea from someone who has lost their way. By providing essential spiritual refuge for hidden wounds, we heal individuals and break the cycle of suffering.

From youth centers and prisons to our local streets in Redondo Beach, our goal is to awaken the human spirit so that despair gives way to hope and peace.

"A single person's smile has the power to ripple outward. When we restore one smile, we take one more step toward global peace."

— KAZUMI, FOUNDER

REHABILITATION THROUGH ZEN & MINDFULNESS

Holistic Support, Essential Stability, and Personal Renewal

True healing begins when basic human needs—shelter, nourishment, and safety—are met. Building upon this foundational stability, 369 Star Village aims to bring tailored Zen-based healing and mindfulness programs to juvenile facilities and correctional centers. Recognizing that every individual’s path is unique, we provide customized care, traditional Zen practices, and emotional grounding tools. Our vision is to offer accessible, personalized methods for stress reduction and quiet reflection, guiding participants toward inner peace, sound decision-making, and lasting transformation.
