A Vow Born in Darkness
My understanding of trauma was not learned in a classroom. It was forged in the fire of survival. For years, I endured verbal and emotional abuse, walking a lonely path of shivering isolation. Yet, it was within that very darkness that my ancestral gifts awakened.
Even when my own heart was breaking, I found I could see through the aggression of others to the unhealed agony of their pasts. I realized a profound truth: Those who inflict pain are often screaming from their own internal shadows.
Having survived that cold, I made a solemn vow to the universe: I will not let others shiver alone.
This is the "OMOI" — 想い — the deep, soulful conviction that fuels 369 Star Village.

Kazumi Smith Tharpe
FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / LEAD HEALER
As Founder and CEO, Kazumi guides the overarching vision, strategic direction, and spiritual core of the organization. Combining executive leadership with her profound expertise as a licensed Ryutai-Moji practitioner, she leads our core healing initiatives, dedicated to driving holistic transformation and spiritual recovery across communities.

Scott Tharpe
Scott plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining the operational foundation of the organization. Overseeing daily administrative operations, compliance, and internal logistics, he ensures that our outreach programs run smoothly to manifest our shared vision of healing and rehabilitation.

Isidro Martinez
Isidro oversees the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of our community outreach events. With a strong background in marketing, he manages event logistics and promotional strategies, ensuring each gathering effectively communicates our mission to the public.
Koichi leads the development of our mindfulness and spiritual rehabilitation initiatives. Deeply focused on Zen philosophy, he researches and designs structured healing programs and our upcoming Zen healing retreats and wellness tours.

Kaori specializes in the development and practical application of our spiritual recovery initiatives. With extensive expertise in Zen-based somatic and mental healing, she designs tailored therapeutic programs and facilitates hands-on healing sessions within rehabilitation centers.
Cathryn Tharpe
Cathryn serves as our Auditor, ensuring operational and financial transparency for the organization. She also actively contributes to our marketing efforts, assisting in the strategic promotion of our programs to expand our community outreach.
AUDITOR
Barbara manages our public relations and media communications, playing a key role in raising awareness for our mission. She develops strategic press materials, builds relationships with community partners, and ensures our impactful stories of healing and recovery are shared widely with the public.

My Vision as a Healer
Many judge crime as a final failure. At 369 Star Village, we see it as a desperate cry from a soul that has lost its way. By providing the spiritual "Band-Aid" for unhealed wounds, we break the cycle of harm.
Whether it is a juvenile center, a prison, or a busy street in Redondo Beach, our mission is to restore the spirit so that crime and despair no longer find a home.

HOW WE GREW
The Evolution of Our Mission: From Letters to Universal Healing
For years, my work began in silence. Through hundreds of letters exchanged with souls in deep isolation, many behind prison walls, I walked alongside those whom society had forgotten. Each letter was a sacred encounter. I provided 5th-dimensional healing, connecting heart to heart with people I had never met.
But letters are no longer enough. The need is too urgent. We are now scaling this healing to reach thousands, bridging ancient tradition with modern technology to create a universal sanctuary of peace.
